Description

Turkey Oak - tree number 20. Removal of tree. The tree is diseased and has a large and growing wound. Its condition is deteriorating. Removal is recommended before the tree comes down on its own. Replant with another Oak in adjacent parcel of land to allow existing yew trees ( no.21 and 32) under existing tree (20) to grow further.Initially we intend to reduce the tree canopy by pollarding as a means of phased removal whilst allowing adjacent trees to adjust to altered exposure. Tree to be monitored and will probably need removal in 3-5 years. It is the intent to relieve stresses on the the core and rootball, A trim will only increase growth on the extremities, the opposite of the intent.
