Description

I have a mature Macrocarpa tree which is very close to the boundary with my neighbours at Widecombe House Care Home. It is not covered by a TPO but is within a conservation area. I regularly get the trees on my property checked by a professional tree surgeon (Southern Tree Services). They inspected the Macrocarpa and were concerned by a limb that went from the main tree at a 45 degree angle and went directly over my neighbour's property. To be specific, it was over an out house which is in regular use by them. The issue was that the tree surgeons had detected a significant void at the point at which the limb was attached to the tree. They believed this was a serious weakness and left the considerable limb at risk of falling onto the neighbouring property should there be windy conditions. We would therefore request to remove this limb only and do any necessary dead wooding on the rest of the tree in order to prevent risk to my neighbours.I have a second Macrocarpa tree which is on the boundary of my property and Barrington Road. This is another mature tree. This doesn't pose any immediate danger to users of Barrington Road but the tree is in need of significant deadwooding as it has never been done. I would therefore ask for permission to undertake deadwooding of this tree.All of the work I am requesting to do will be undertaken by Southern Tree Services.I do have photos if these would be of any use.
