Description
This is a cedar tree a metre from a shared boundary wall which has collapsed beneath it. (Another cedar tree in our garden blew down in a gale 9 years ago and fell across Daddyhole Road blocking the road). We regard this as a danger to our neighbour whose bungalow is 10 feet below the cedar and only a few feet from the tree. It is likely that the recent very dry weather, frosts and intense rainfall contributed to the damaged wall. The rocking roots of the tree will have weakened the soil structure and wall integrity. The tree is approximately 40ft high and should never have been planted in that location. The wall itself is about 3m high and the very large boulders have fallen into the neighbours garden. Our arborist has viewed the tree and says it is not in a safe location and advises its removal. Also advises not to plant another tree in the same location due to the threat of a new wall collapse. The tree is in the front garden. Looked at from Daddyhole Road it is on the right side.
