Description

A single mature oak tree approximately 30m to the south of St Johns Church Hall, in front of the church building, and 10m from the lych gate. This is identified on the plan by a red square. The tree needs some maintenance. The tree had its lower branches trimmed some 20 years ago. The resulting growth comprising several smaller branches now need to be trimmed back and removed. The main boughs and canopy of the tree will remain untouched. This work is to raise the skirt of tree to provide more light to the surrounding churchyard and planting whilst improving the aesthetics of the tree and surroundings. The work will be carried to a height of approximately 6m, up to the height of the mature boughs.
