Description

Felling Licence Consultation: Regenerative Fell of individual marked trees - (Ash, Elm, Oak, Field Maple, Hornbeam, Birch, Sweet Chestnut, Beech, Hawthorn and Goat Willow Species) Identified as dead of diseased/H&S risk due to proximity to public footpaths or private property. An additional thinning operation may be undertaken within the whole compartment, if required within the 5 year period mainly due to ash die back. Large gaps in the canopy (over 15m) would need to be filled with natural regen which if it fails would need to be replanted. Details in the licence etc. The thinning is for areas where trees are equally spread out and specifically for areas in the compartment which need thinning to maintain the health of the woodland.
