Description
5 X LIME. Tiliax europaea (G15). PollardingEach year these trees exude a sticky sap which falls on our cars and those of our neighbours at No.186. The sap covers the exterior of the cars, gets in the window opening/closing mechanism and attracts wasps. This increases our risk of being stung. In addition, the trees significantly reduce the amount of light in our kitchen when they are in leaf. The main problem, in essence, is that the trees are unsuitable for this location, being too many in number, too close together and having too large and dense a canopy. Pollarding them will significantly reduce the production of sap and leaf cover without harming the trees. Our trees have a bigger impact on our neighbour's cars because their parking area is limited.I should like to apply for a renewal of the 5 year consent, last granted in 2019, to pollard the trees annually.
