Description

1. common beech- Prune to reduce spread on north-west side of the tree only, that is where it overhangs the garden area. Prune according to dimensions on plan, which are for the avoidance of doubt : On north side of spread, to 7.4m from trunk, on north-west side of spread to 7.2m and on the west side to 8m. Maximum size of pruning wound to be 100 mm and cuts, in accordance with British Standard 3998:2010, should be made to suitable side growth at least 1/3 of the diameter of the parent branch.
