Description

The proposed works relate to the existing Gas and Plumbing Building and include: - Internal reconfiguration, including partial demolition of existing internal walls to accommodate Animal Management facilities and gender-neutral toilet facilities- Works to the external envelope, including the overcladding of the existing brickwork walls with a combination of metal and timber cladding, in order to improve the thermal performance and visual appearance of the building- A new entrance canopy, accessible ramped access and automatic sliding glass entrance doors- Replacement of the existing windows with new PPC aluminium framed, double-glazed units and additional clerestorey windows to allow more natural light into the building- Replacement of the existing external doors with new PPC steel doors- Single storey flat roof extension to the rear of the building, to accommodate a bigger plant room- New secure fencing to accommodate external learning/teaching spaces for the animal management department
