Fell and replace for longterm woodland benefitT152 - Oak - Fell - Mature and heavily defected tree with multiple defects including Acute Oak Decline infection, large cavity all through the stem at 5m, decay to cambium where lost bark exposes inner wood on SE side, die-back in canopy, lost limbs. high risk of failure.Each tree (36 in total) will be replaced with a native specimen (8-10cm container grown) in a similar location to the felled tree. The trees will be a mix of Hornbeam, Oak, Beech, Rowan and Field Maple to encourage a more diverse but locally appropriate woodland selection.
