Description

The subject of this application is the TPO scots pine (ref TPO/24/90) located: 2.2m from the public pavement forming the front boundary of the property; 1.8m from the large TPO oak to its west; and 9m from the large TPO beech to its east (see attached sketch). The scots pine is dying and potentially DANGEROUS. At least one large bough has previously fallen from its top in strong winds.The proposed work is to make the tree safe by removing the remaining boughs at the top and cutting the trunk down to approx 1m of ground level. Given the large size of the nearby mature oak and beech TPO trees, we are not proposing to plant a replacement for the scots pine.
