Description

The previous owners of the property planted their old Christmas tree (a fir tree) in the front garden. This was after the TPO was placed on the Paddock Hill estate and so we do not believe that this tree is or should be subject to said order, although we think it important to check.The tree is an eyesore and does not fit in with the existing environment, i.e. the trees that are natural to the estate such as Oak and Beech trees. We are also concerned that if allowed to grow bigger the roots will damage not only our drive, but the pavement and pathway that it is directly adjacent to (although we have not consulted a surveyor at this point). As it stands, the tree is likely able to be removed by hand as it only stands 12ft tall (give or take). Again, due to its small stature and how recently it has been planted, I do not feel that this tree is covered by the TPO, but would like to check regardless. We are considering replacing this tree with something smaller and more visually appealing, such as a cherry tree.I look forward to hearing from you.
