Application Details
Description
(Note - Although the application states the trees belong to the client, item 6 to 11 belong to Stockport Council and have been discussed on site with Pete Pollard)1 Goat Willow (self-set and inappropriate to retain) - Fell to low stump2 Oak (self-set and inappropriate to retain) - Fell to low stump3 Holly - No action at present4 Spruce (getting too large) - Fell to low stump5 Willow (poor condition with multiple failures) - Tidy or FellNote - The follow group (items 6 to 11) belong to the council woodland and do not meet the council criteria to justify action. They are however very oppressive and have caused significant concerns for residents of the vicarageBecause they are on the edge of the woodland, they all have a lean towards the vicarage where there is more light.6 Beech (structural issues on vicarage side) - Crown reduce on vicarage side to reduce end weight and thus risk of major failure. This will also reduce the oppressive nature of the tree that is heavier on the vicarage side of the crown7 Sycamore (Poor condition with extensive squirrel damage) - Fell to low stump8 Small Sycamore (poor condition) - Fell to low stump9 Large Sycamore (many large old wounds with unacceptably high probability that any failures would end up on or close to the vicarage) - Fell to low stump10 Double-stemmed Elm (no appropriate future) - Fell to low stump11 Oak - Crown reduce on vicarage side by 2 to 3m to contain crown for a few years12 Small Beech (On vicarage side of the wall. Problematic if retained) - Fell to low stump13 Mixed border - Heavily cut back and fell any large species trees within 3m of the fence14 Dying Sycamore - Fell to low stump15 Various trees close to and interfering with the pavement and road - Cut back to give at least 3m pavement overhang clearance and 6m Road overhang clearance16 Various trees close to and interfering with the pavement and road - Cut back to give at least 3m pavement overhang.
