Description

The area is predominantly alder and crack willow. Several of the trees have reached maturity and are shedding branches/ leaning/ dead/ dying/ dangerous. Some are leaning over our boundary towards our neighbours barns/ outbuildings. We have coppiced the worst over the past couple years under previous TPO applications and planted a mixed native hedge along the length of the boundary. We wish to retain the wooded aspect but for safety continue to fell the dead, dying and/ or dangerous trees and coppice/ reduce the height of some of the remaining self-seeded crack willow & alder with the intention of maintaining a bushier growth at a lower height. These trees have reached maturity and are in danger of imminent breakage/ falling due to the nature of crack willow/ disease/ angle of the trees etc. There are numerous trees which require attention in the area marked on the sketch plan, we hope to deal with them according to need over time and allow the healthier specimens to mature.
