Application Details
Description
After the tree removal, and the removal of earth behind the failed wall, it was found that the extensive root system of the 2no. cherry trees and the hedgerow, protrude past the inner leaf of the wall, and, much further past the coping stones of the wall. The wall is now partially rebuilt, with works unable to progress owing to the wall not being able to be rebuilt on a like-for-like basis due to the root system and earth protruding too far past the edge of the coping stone, and the inner leaf of the brickwork. On completion of removal of the 2no. cherry trees and the hedgerow, we would propose to replant a hedge row of "lonicera nitida", planted from bare root. we would also conclude the rebuild of the wall on a like-for-like basis. owing to the depth of the front garden, we do not feel it possible to be able to replant further trees, as these will have to be set significantly back from the wall, to avoid this problem occurring again in the future which would bring the tree(s) and their roots too close to the main house.
