Description
Reduce canopy of Oak tree in front garden by 2m. We have various trees and hedges including 3 oak trees on our property and have been quoted ?300 for each tree, including the one located to the front of the property. We try and rotate the maintenance annually between the trees and hedges to manage costs but this is now becoming a very costly exercise especially in the current economic situation, resulting in us becoming stressed, particularly my wife who is suffering from anxiety, exacerbating the stress even more. The tree is causing us concern for the following reasons: -1)Pruning costs 2)My wife's parks her car off-road under the tree, and when she recently traded it in had to sell it for a much lower price as a result of it's paintwork being severely damaged due to the sap and bird droppings from the tree. Now the tree is in full bloom the sap is affecting the paintwork of her new car. 3) The driveway has been damaged due to the sap, bird droppings and general debris from the tree to the extent we have had to go out to various companies for quotes to have the drive cleaned and re-grouted. 4)It is getting so large it now towers over our house and this has had several detrimental effects to our property and that of our neighbours who both have complained to us with one neighbour becoming very concerned about the damage to their cars as the tree is spreading across to their property. 5)It blocks out a considerable amount of natural light from the front of our house. The tree is so large debris is falling onto our roof resulting in a build up of moss and damp leading to blocked guttering and drainpipes - again we have had to obtain quotes from various roofing companies to see if this can be cleaned and both companies have said this is a direct result of the tree. Last year we had to have our chimney removed for the same reason. The branches are now in contact with the telephone line to ours and our neighbours property. TPO125W.
