Description
Cedar Tree to be felled. The tree stands approx60ft tall with a very wide canopy only 8m from the house and 8yds from the next door neighbours house in Nursery Road whose garden backs onto the site of tree. Not suitable in a residential area, and is causing distress to local residents. The main reason for applying to fell the tree is from a Health & Safety aspect. At the house next door in Nursery Road, there are 3 children age 14, 12 and 9 who regularly play in the garden and the concern is potential serious injury should one of the huge branches fall into the garden. Branches from the tree overhang the whole garden. I also am in the process of preparing 50, Heathbank Road for rental. As it is a family house, its likely to attract a family with children who will be playing in the garden where the tree is situated under the overhanging branches. I would arrange for a similar tree to be planted at the bottom of the same garden as the felled tree. Its quite a large garden and as such my proposal would be planting the tree right at the bottom of the garden well away from any buildings. TPO 136W.
