Description

The proposal is to build a new earth bank slurry lagoon with a capacity of 2820m3 at the top of one of our fields close to the farm so that slurry can be pumped to storage when required. This additional lagoon will give us 6 months slurry storage, allowing us to comply with government regulations that aim to improve nutrient management on dairy farms and improve natural habitats. The slurry lagoon will have clay earth banks and be covered with an impermeable cover.
