Description
Five day notice to tree works at Upper Great Brownings. Trees are within a conservation area and a 5 day notification solely for TP 3544 and 3576 is required due to an immediate hazard. Outgrown Cherry Laurel hedge (Prunus laurocerasus) up to approximately 10m height located on the boundary with Low Cross Wood and Rock Hill. A number of taller stems are overhanging the access road and garages. Reduce by up to 3m and to provide a 2m clearance from the lower slope side of the garages. Retain screening value to the rear and upper side of the garages. Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) approximately 25m height located on the estate boundary with Rock Hill. The upper crown has small diameter and other hanging deadwood. There is a minor decay pocket at the base obscured by ivy where a stem has been removed in past. Otherwise, there are no other abnormalities or definite indicators of decay; the buttress shows no sign of fungal fruiting bodies, no V shaped fork unions are noticeable and the crown has good vitality. Remove deadwood. Sever ivy at base. Re inspection as required and within three years.Oak (Quercus petrea) approximately 20m height located on the boundary with Low Cross Wood and overhanging the access road. The upper crown has deadwood with a fungal fruiting body at the base. Otherwise, there are no other abnormalities; the crown appears to be retrenching as may be expected for specimens of this age and size. Remove deadwood. Re inspection as required and within three years.
