Part refurbishment of the existing Grade II listed main school building and a new entrance area; and associated soft and hard landscaping.Riverside Primary School is a previously established primary school. All existing buildings on site are considered be of F1(a) use. Since the proposal seeks to redevelop the site for an enhanced school building, a change of use is not required. The proposed works will not lead to an increase in pupil intake or staff employment. The existing kitchen/dining facilities within the existing building will be moved into a new kitchen dining block (LBS Reg. No 21/AP/4729). Therefore it is proposed that the redundant kitchen/dining facilities will be re-appropriated to provide a new entrance area. The proposed refurbishment will accommodate a new entrance with general office, accessible WC, waiting/welcome area and a small meeting room.
