Reason: The tree has had 2 large failures over a 2-year period, losing 2 main scaffold limbs approximately 6m in length. Evidence of heaving also present to the west. Reduction to reduce the sail area and bio mechanical stresses on limbs and unions and decrease the likelihood of future failures, increasing the lifespan of the tree.
