Application Details
Description
Rear garden (T2) Holm oak - this is a significant landscape feature, and although there is some decay near the base of the stem (next to the wall), the tree could be retained and the following crown reduction pruning undertaken. This would help to lessen the crown weight as well as loading on crown forks and tree base. Suggested works - Crown reduce by approx. 2-2.5m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crowns of the tree should be reduced in proportion to their original shape. (T1) Gleditsia - Reduce height by approx. 1.5m and balance remaining crown by reducing lateral crown to the west by 1.5-2m. (T3) Box elder - Reduce height by approx. 1.5m and balance remaining crown by reducing lateral crown growing towards the house by approx. 2m. Remove first lateral branch growing towards the wall back to the main stem. Front garden Yew (located in neighbouring garden to the north) - reduce back crown over driveway (6 Marlow Road) by 1-1.5m, crown lift (over driveway) any remaining branches to provide a clearance of 4m. Birch - remove tree (and plant replacement) Whitebeam (located in neighbouring garden to the north) - reduce back crown over driveway (6 Marlow Road) by 1.5m, crown lift (over driveway) any remaining branches to provide a clearance of 4m. Reduce crown back from public highway by approx. 1.5m, cut back from signage and lift crown over footpath to create 3m clearance.
