Description

We wish to remove the leylandii hedge which consists a mix of living and dead flora planted we understand in the 70s or 80s. We will do the work ourselves and replace the trees with a mix of fruit trees (c.3-4) around the garden. The trees are in something of an upside down L shape if looking from the house with one side c.8m and the other c.3m. The hedge currently splits the garden in two with the south side a lawn and the more northerly side more bare earth (at times a driveway) which we look to seed with grass. We assume that this work will bring the garden something closer to its original layout. We do not plan to replace every tree we remove; to do so would defeat the objection of removing the hedge but we aim to plant some fruit trees in a garden that already has many varieties of tree.
