Description

Due to the recent limb failure, and previous historic failures, the crown is more susceptible to adverse wind sheer given the exposed location of the Beech. This presents a higher risk of significant future limb failure. Recommendation; Carefully carry out selective formative pruning works up to 3m using a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) to create a smaller crown template paying particular attention to the upper lateral sections, whilst retaining the natural profile of the tree and promoting vitality.
