Plum (blue dot) - Reduce crown height by up to 2m and lateral spread by up to 1m, pruning back to suitable growth points. - All pruning cuts must be made at suitable branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. Lime x2 (purple dots) - Reduce lateral spread over the tennis court by up to 2m, pruning back to suitable growth points. - Thin remaining crowns by a maximum of 20% retaining an even density of foliage throughout a well-spaced and balanced branch structure. - Remove epicormic growth to 5m above ground level. - All pruning cuts must be made at suitable branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. - Pruning cuts must not exceed 50mm diameter. - Remove deadwood. Lime x4 (green dots) - Thin crowns by a maximum of 20% retaining an even density of foliage throughout a well-spaced and balanced branch structure. - Remove epicormic growth to 5m above ground level. - All pruning cuts must be made at suitable branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. - Pruning cuts must not exceed 50mm diameter. - Remove deadwood. Yew (red dot) - Reduce crown on the southwest side only by up to 1m, pruning tips only back to suitable growth points. - All pruning cuts must be made at suitable branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. (Amended specification agreed by Dave Cottrell on the 02 September 2025 via email) Advisory - The council recommends that the works as identified in the specification above, be carried out using a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP). This approach will help ensure that all pruning cuts are made at suitable branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
