Application Details
Description
T1 Lime - Remove the lowest limb extending toward the north, cutting it back to the primary scaffold limb. G2 Western Red Cedar X2 - Crown lift the tree to 2 metres by removing the lower limbs that overhang the lawn. T3 Yew - Selectively tip reduce the lower limb by removing up to 0.75 metres from the branch tips to improve light dispersal from the streetlamp. T4 London Plane - Reduce the lateral spread of the crown extending toward the property by up to 1 metre, working approximately back to previous pruning points. T5 Holly - Fell to ground level. G6 Leyland Cypress - Reduce the lateral spread of the trees overhanging the car park by up to 2 metres. G7 Sycamores - Reduce the lateral spread of the trees overhanging the driveway by up to 1 metre, up to a height of approximately 4.5 metres above ground level. G8 Oak and Lime - Reduce the lateral spread of the trees overhanging the driveway by up to 1 metre, up to a height of approximately 4.5 metres above ground level. G9 Hornbeam X8 - Crown lift the tree by pruning branch tips to provide 2 metres of clearance above the lawn. Additionally, reduce the lateral spread of the end tree adjacent to house number 26 by approximately 0.5 metres to prevent overhang onto the footpath. T10 Alder (Dead) - Fell to ground level. T11 Norway Maple - Crown Reduction - Reduce the height and lateral spread of the tree by up to 1.5 metres, ensuring the tree retains a natural, well-balanced shape. Additionally, install two 2-ton Cobra bracing systems to provide structural support. T12 Norway Maple - Crown Reduction - Reduce the height and lateral spread of the tree by up to 1.5 metres, ensuring the tree retains a natural, well-balanced shape. Reasons for Works: T1, G2, T3, T4, G7, and G8 - These works form part of routine maintenance to ensure adequate clearance around buildings, footpaths, and roads. T5 - This tree is in a state of terminal decline. G6 - This group of trees currently overhangs the parking area, depositing significant debris onto vehicles. The proposed reduction will alleviate this issue and improve the usability of the parking spaces. G9 - The trees within this group are now well established and are becoming overly dominant within the space. A crown lift will facilitate easier lawn maintenance, while reduction will preserve necessary clearance from the path and adjacent property. T11 - The tree has a major branch junction at approximately 2.5 metres, with multiple stems originating from this congested area. Several tight unions are present and require intervention to manage structural integrity and reduce future risk. T12 - This tree has developed an expansive crown that significantly overhangs several small back gardens. The proposed works aim to improve light levels and space for residents, without impacting the tree s visual amenity from public vantage points.
