T1 - Ash (TPO G2) - h (Fraxinus excelsior) - Immediate management needs: Whilst not considered urgent, the follow prescription of works is considered appropriate for the tree s current condition and target area* and it is recommended the works be implemented within 6 months of the date of this report. The majority of tree works are best implemented during the dormant season i.e. between October and March: - Implement a crown reduction* to reduce the height and S, E and W radial lateral canopy spread by approx. 1.0-1.5m and the northerly spread by approx. 2.0-2.5m, pruning back to suitable secondary growth to remove tip dieback, balance canopy and improve overall form. - Crown clean* the remaining canopy removing any dead, damaged, weak or crossing branches. - Sever ivy at base of tree stem. - Implement an aerial climbing inspection as part of the pruning operations, paying particular attention to main unions, cavities and wounds. Report any defects and/or concerns resulting from the aerial inspection to CwT, using photographic evidence to support the findings - All arisings to be removed from site unless otherwise specified. All works to be implemented in accordance with BS 3998/2010 "Tree work - Recommendations" where applicable. As the subject tree is protected by a tree preservation order, any tree works, other than removal of deadwood or urgent safety works, will require a written application to the local planning authority.
