Description

Large beech tree behind garden wall facing Moreton Road at Croft Corner, Moreton Road, Aston Tirrold. The tree is to the right as you face the house and is very large/unmistakable. We are proposing to repair the garden wall that is near the tree, as the wall is at risk of falling down. That work, if done badly, could affect the roots of the tree, and our goal is to avoid that. We propose not to disturb the roots of the tree in these works. The tree roots almost certainly go under the wall, and we propose to replace the wall with an exactly similar wall with the same footprint, height, size and location, only with the rebuilt wall being upright. Taking the wall down and rebuilding it in the same location should not affect the tree or its roots. The tree should not be affected by the works.
