Not sure of the species of tree - type of Ash. It is on a small parcel of land. We ask for permission to fell the tree in it s entirety. It has hugely out grown it s setting and now is very out of place. It grows on the corner of a small parking space that we own. Hence the vast majority of the tree overhangs land outside of our property, including parts of adjacent dwellings. It effects people s light, and overhangs gardens and properties as well as a pubic footpath, which is used by children going to school. There is significant leaf, twig and small branch drop. It is abutting the fence and damaging a neighbours wall. Drains, gas pipes run under lane. Roots may affect these. It is causing a lot of anxiety to neighbours, who have written to us in support of it s removal, concerned about the threat it poses to properties. We have spoken with a tree surgeon (David Cottrell) who has also viewed the tree. He agrees it is extremely large for it s situation, has said there is also an issue of some bark inclusion. We would very much welcome a visit by the tree officer to view the tree in situ. We have an extremely small parking place, and consequently no land in which to plant a replacement tree, but would happily fund a replacement in the near vicinity.
