FIVE DAY NOTICE (Retrospective) Split Poplar tree. One of the primary limbs had suffered a longitudinal shear crack measuring 5m in length. It had extended beyond the crack visible in the attached photos by the time we got there, nearly reaching the union. The limb was overhanging the house visible in the photos, if it had failed it would have struck the house. We removed the limb back to source, not ideal but leaving a stub with a split would have left it prone to future failure when the regrowth matured.
