Application Details
Description
The tree is a Copper Beech (Shown on Plans 1 & 2 in pink) It is in good health, but hasn t been pruned or maintained in over 25 years. It is now significantly overhanging the garden of 27 Hart Street and beginning to interfere with the roofline on the Grade 2* Listed White Hart. We are beginning to get complaints from our neighbours about loss of light and damage to tiles, so we d like to take appropriate action before the tree gets any larger. We ve consulted with Luke Brown, Tree Surgeon and he has recommended a crown reduction to reduce the overall mass of the tree by 1-2m, back to the last pruning line (Shown on plans 1 & 2 as red dotted line). Subject to approval, we d like to reduce the overall tree height and branch lengths by around 2m as soon as the tree becomes dormant for the winter.
