Application Details
Description
T1 Holly - Fell to ground level. The reason for removal is that the tree is a poor example of its species, heavily leaning with low future potential. (TPO W1). T2 Lime - Fell to ground level. The reasons for the removal of this tree situated in the Watlington Conservation area are as follows. The tree has an over included main union with low reaction growth at around 2.5 metres, increasing the chances of failure at this point. The tree is situated in extremely close proximity to a out building . Due to these factors and the commonly lower structural integrity of this species of tree, we feel removal and replanting is a better option than the regular reductions that would be required to help mitigate the tree s defects. (TPO W1). T3 Ash - Fell to ground level. The reasons for removing the tree are as follows. The tree is suffering from Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). Due to the tree s location overhanging two public rights of way, removal is required from a safety standpoint. (TPO W1). The property owner has already replanted significant amounts of trees in the woodland and has indicated they would be happy to replant larger specimen trees as mitigation for the removal of these trees.
