Description

The tree is a dead birch about 10m high. It was dead when we bought the property in November 2023. We want to cut it down and grind the stump to about 12 inches below the soil. We will be creating island beds in that part of the garden with new, small trees in those beds (acers, ceonothus, conifers), together with shrubs and herbaceous plants. There are no residential properties within 100m of the dead tree (the neighbouring field on that side of the property is agricultural land).
