Description

1. Tree no 4521 (beech). Located along southern edge of woodland block south of Flint House (part of woodland block W1 on TPO schedule). Mature beech leaning out over the footpath, recent inspection indicates root plate movement up slope of the base along with soil cracking and recent gaps/holes in the soil in this area. Fell tree. Medium risk location, concern that tree is likely to fail. No plans to replant, tree in woodland surrounded by other mature trees and emerging young trees. 2. Thin holly by 20% - 30% and remove to ground level holly within 1-2m of larger trees in 3 areas of woodland (parts of W2 & W5 on TPO schedule). Holly is starting supress ground flora and inhibit basal inspection of mature trees. 3. Fell Laurel tree. Non-native and smothering ground flora. (located in woodland block W2 on TPO schedule).
