Application Details
Description
Lime (A) - reduce by 8ft all round because it is damaging the church roof and overhanging the public footpath. Reduction all round will preserve balance. Sweet Chestnut (B) - dead tree by footpath, fell and grind stump. No replacement necessary (but we may well plant another Sweet Chestnut or similar). Cypress (C) - lift lower limbs which impede public footpath (when the trailing lower limb is removed, the next branch will be at 3.5m above ground level). Cypress (D) - lift limb from off wall and over graves (the branch lying on the wall is 4m long. We propose to take it right back to the junction with the bigger limb, whose twigs will then hang 90cm higher, or 3.3m above ground level. The wall is 2.2m high, and the higher limb stops well short of the wall) Yews (E & F) - sever and remove virginia creeper. Yew (G) - crown lift limbs endangering roof (there will be no overall raising of the crown, as there are other branches at the same height as the one to be cut back (about 4m above the ground), but not interfering with the roof).
