Description

Installation of electricity cabling associated with the redevelopment of High Leas, Rotherfield Road. The RPAs of trees on the north and south sides of Rotherfield Road, so the whole carriageway and along the south edge of the carriageway west to High Leas will be broken up to a trench width of 300-400mm using mechanical means that may include pneumatic chisels or mechanical plant and with no excavation into the sub base. The arisings from broken tarmac will be removed. We will be using an air pick and vacuum excavation system (Vac-EE). Compressed air is directed through a lance to loosen and break the ground and the loosened material is removed by vacuum into a vehicle.
