Application Details
Description
It is proposed that work should be carried out on 3 trees at our property. None of the trees are covered by TPOs. It is intended that the work will be carried out by Devey Tree Care Ltd of Tetsworth who have attended the property and given advice on the work required. From the sketch map:- T1 - Large, mature Apple tree. This tree has become rather overgrown and requires extensive pruning to some branch growth and to remove water shoots. The crown requires some thinning and a reduction of overall height by 1-1.5 m. This tree has become very crowded and the crown requires cleaning to remove dead or rubbing branches. This will result in crown thinning of up to 30%. In addition the crown will be reduced all round by approximately 1-1.5 m in all directions, especially where it overlaps the fence and the neighbours outbuilding. T2 - Large weeping birch situated near the front of the house. This tree has also become rather unwieldy and the crown requires some thinning to tidy the tree. The tree has also grown very close to the roof/gutters at the front of the house front and requires trimming away from the house. Once again the crown of this tree will be reduced by a maximum of 1-1.5 m in all directions, especially where it is overlapping the roof of the house and also over the fence into our neighbours garden. Once again the crown requires cleaning to remove dead and rubbing/overlapping branches resulting in a thinning of the crown by a maximum of 30%. This tree is also significantly blocking the light through the adjacent study window, especially in the summer when it is in full leaf. T3 - Another Silver Birch Tree situated within the fence /hedge line on the Northern edge of the property. This tree has grown rather large and is very close to the house. Requires trimming/removal of some of the lower branches away from the house. Some branches have become insecure and require removal before they break off. This tree is situated within a hedge line and requires the crown lifting to approx 5 -6 m above ground level to keep it above the level of the hedge. The lateral spread of the crown needs to be reduced by up to 1.5 m to keep it clear of the roof of the house. It is not intended to reduce the height of the crown at this time.
