FIVE DAY NOTICE T1 Common Ash: This tree has recently been exposed since the neighbouring mature Beech failed in the recent storm. This tree is in poor condition with an undeveloped crown with very sparse foliage / bud spacing. On closer examination the upper branch structure is heavily cankered with what I suspect is an Inonotus fruiting body present. Since the storm a secondary stem failed into Cleeve Road. The drawn form of this tree top weighted tree is not helping as it is open to the prevailing south westerly winds. Regrettably, two other trees failed the same area during the storm creating the clear area in thee photograph. We would like to remove this tree as soon as practicable as I do believe this tree is hazardous. - Remove as close to ground level as practicable.
