2 Wellingtonia’s on the property, both covered under TPO 05/1996, one in the front garden and one at the rear of the property. Both trees to be given a sympathetic crown raise, lifting the lower canopy level to 4-5m to improve light to house. Lifting these lowest branches of the tree at the front will also allow safe passage of large vans and vehicles entering the driveway. And lifting the branches of the tree at the back will preserve neighbours sheds and outbuildings as the branches are sat on their roofs and interfering with these garden structures. These crown raises will be achieved by removing the lowest ring of branches around the stem and pruning other low hanging branches with appropriate pruning cuts, in the best interest of the tree’s health.
