T1. Ash - showing early, but strong signs of ash die back We are requesting to dismantle / fell the tree at ground level to future proof and make the area safe, removing all risk. However, if when we dismantle the tree the structure wood on the main stem is sound / healthy....we may leave it as a low monolith/pollard to retain some of the tree, amenity but this depends on the risk assessment we make? The client will plant a replacement more suitable species - Field maple , Hornbeam for example.
