T1 Norway Spruce Height: 24m Crown spread: 9m DBH: 1.2m Work required : - Remove touching and rubbing branches Reason : - A number of branches inside the crown are touching and rubbing thro. Some have torn. Removing these branches would improve the overall structural health of the tree. Work required : - Reduce by approx. 5m in height Reason : - The main leader in the tree had split at approx. 5m from the top of the tree causing a weak point. Removing the resulting growth above this split would improve the structural health of the tree. Work required : - 15% Crown thin Reason : - As discussed with the rubbing/touching branches. A small crown thin would improve have a positive benefit for the structure of the tree and its amenity value Work required : - Reduce approx 1.5m away from the nearby garage. Reason : - The low hanging extended branches are within 0.5m of the garage wall/roof. Allowing squirrels to access the roof causing internal damage. A reducing the branches to no more than 1.5m from the property would discourage squirrels.
