Description
Cherry Laurel - working in two areas. This species is a non-native invasive species and is beginning to spread across the nature reserve and threatens the native biodiversity of the woodland habitat. 1) Boundary work (shown on map and photos) to cut back Cherry Laurel branches overhanging and damaging our boundary, cut back to our boundary. The substantial overhang is also preventing us accessing the area with machinery to complete essential fence repairs to prevent livestock escaping. Neighbouring land not registered and landowner not known so we're unable to remove these trees completely. 2) Woodland work (shown on map) is coppicing to ground level of Cherry Laurel in the woodland area of the nature reserve to promote native woodland ground flora regeneration.
