Application Details
Description
Works to fell 2no. Ash situated in the Badminton Conservation Area.We have 2 Ash trees at the entrance of the nursery, 1 just outside the front gate adjacent to car park and one just inside the gate. The trees roots within the garden boundary are disrupting the flooring and have become a health and safety hazard to the children and staff. We have had the tree inspected by the forester for Badminton estate who has confirmed both trees have Ash die back disease. We have previously had to have the forester do work on both trees, due to them loosing their dead branches into the nursery causing significant risk to the children in the setting. The tree outside the gate is leaning and the forester has advised that both trees be removed. Once permission is granted we would be privately employing a tree surgeon to remove these trees safely. Also due to building work being carried out on the old toilet block next to the car park, these trees due to the Ash die back disease could fall once the groundwork begins and the ground is disrupted. Once work is completed we are happy to replant trees in the same area to replace the ones removed.
