Adjoining Authority Consultation - Winchester City Council (23/01040/FUL) - To add floodlighting to an additional two courts at the club, Courts 5 and 6. Please note that I have given the approximate total area of the six-court club site in the previous question. The two courts are NOT the ones near the canal for which we sought permission ten years ago. Specifically, we believe that this proposal cannot possibly interfere with the ecology of bats navigating along the canal. The modelling demonstrates no light spillage anywhere near that extent, and the new lighting is no nearer the canal than the existing lighting - please see supporting documentation. The change of use has not started, but we have changed the bulbs on the old fittings to LED, under existing permissions, with a notable decrease in light spillage but increase in intensity within the playing area.
