The tree has exhibited signs of Ash dieback over the last 2 years, and has been frequently dropping smaller diameter branches, as well as one larger limb as well. The tree is in very close proximity to the house, and is located over an area of heavy footfall for both the house owner and members of the public. The tree also overhangs the main road running through Exton, which has a footpath entrance only a few meters away making it a very popular route for walkers. There are also overhead power lines running below the tree, presenting a number of high value targets should any more limbs fail.
