Description

Plans and Specifications submission under Schedule 17 to the High-Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Act 2017 for works comprising: Engineering earthworks for the creation of a railway embankment (Diddington Lane Embankment); and for the realignment of Shadow Brook watercourse. Construction of culvert headwalls for Shadow Brook Bridleway Culvert; construction of Shadow Brook Underbridge. Ancillary works including: Earthworks to support Public Right of Way realignment and permissive bridleway provision, to form maintenance access tracks (MATs); earthworks to form drainage ditches, swales, a balancing pond, a replacement flood storage (RFS) area, and 34 minor headwalls associated with drainage ditches and pipes; earthworks for the accommodation of a GSMR compound and provision of road vehicle parking and turning areas; landscaping earthworks for the formation of landscaping bunds at the southern end of the embankment; and location of an equestrian gate, permanent security fencing, boundary fencing, ecological fencing, vehicle restraining systems (VRS), and noise barriers.
