Description

The phased extraction of approximately 470,000 tonnes of sand and gravel as a south-east and north-west extension to Berkswell Quarry; the use of the existing Berkswell Quarry Mineral Processing Plant and related infrastructure for the duration of the development; the use of the existing Berkswell Quarry access to Cornets End Lane; the construction of temporary soil screen and storage mounds (top and sub-soils); the phased restoration of the extraction area to re-create approximate original ground levels through the importation and placement of inert restoration material and the re-establishment of an arable agricultural after use with biodiversity enhancements and flood mitigation measures.
