Description

Works in relation to tree G155 - apple. Halo 11 holly trees in proximity of the apple tree G155 to open up its mature crown. This requires coppicing of the holly trees to ground level. These trees will be allowed to regrow to a height which will be manageable as a hedge. The works also include the lifting and cutting back the lower canopy of the end leylandii tree (closest to the apple) in G163 by 3 to 4 metres. In addition G155 will be thinned by 30% to reduce weight and sail, and to increase aeration through the crown to improve circulation and overall tree health. To compensate the removed trees we would look to replace with another malus.
