Description

D.F.1, Fir, tree has historically broken-out over driveway of No.98 to West, I propose to prune back the lower crown by 3-4m to secondary/tertiary growth points, (current c.s. 8-9m in lower crown) to reduce loading on laterals and therefore reduce risk of failure. D.F.2, Fir, tree has historically broken-out over driveway of No.98 to West, prune back overextended branches in crown on West side by 2m in to line of bulk of remaining crown, to present a more uniform profile to prevailing wind, current crown spread 8-9m. Prune back extended secondary leader over lawn of No.96 (East) by 5m, (current length 13m) to reduce wind loading and prevent an uncontrolled failure back at the main stem union.
