Description

Boundary hedges - this is a mix of overstood old Hawthorne and blackthorn trees that are swamped with ivy, and some scrubby infill between the old trees - the light scrub is to be removed between the trees to be replanted with new mix native hedge whips. The old Hawthorne trees will have ivy removed and reduced by up to 1m in height and spread, removing any deadwood present. G1 - The area of self set blackthorn will be coppiced to allow more light into the understory to allow some regeneration of the floor in that whole area and to promote some greater biodiversity as multiple species are allowed opportunity to regrow rather than being dominated by 30+ blackthorn.
