Description

The application is to remove a large cherry tree in the rear garden of 8 Old Rectory Close. The tree has grown too big for the setting, it bears no useable fruit and has overhanging branches that are interfering with a mature pear tree in the garden. The tree also blocks a considerable amount of light to the garden from the South. There are eight other very mature trees in the garden all of which have TPO's. Six of these trees, (three Scots Pine and three Sycamore) are located in the rear garden so removal of the old cherry tree will have no impact on the overall setting of the trees in the garden. The tree will be felled in the garden and all wood chip will be reused in the garden for borders and paths. It is not proposed to replace this tree as the garden has eight TPO trees, six other mature trees and lots of mature shrubs and greenery.
